generative art

In this tutorial we start by shaping the base form that will become our piece, inspired by the work of John Whitney. First, we build the 3D foundation, then set up instancing to give position to each element, thinking carefully about how the pattern should distribute in space.

In this tutorial we start by setting up the base geometry that will become our reactive shape. First, we build the 3D foundation, then use instancing to multiply this geometry across space, thinking carefully about how each copy should relate to the whole.

In this tutorial we start by building a single Lego block that will serve as our base piece. First, we shape the geometry and set up instancing, thinking carefully about how one piece can multiply into many without losing its form.

Gestation is a real-time generative digital lifeform experiment created in TouchDesigner. The project was inspired by a Houdini Gestation Effect tutorial and rebuilt using TouchDesigner’s real-time workflow.

In this tutorial we start by shaping the base surface that will become our wing. First, we build the 3D foundation, then use Convert and Divide SOPs to prepare the geometry for what comes next, thinking carefully about how the surface should flow.

In this tutorial, you'll learn how to transform any 3D surface into dynamic curves, circles, or particle systems — opening up a whole new world of organic, generative aesthetics.
