About Immerse Studio
Immerse Studio is a Los Angeles based company that specializes in developing interactive technology for immersive installations, concerts, events, and performances. In short, we use technology to make spaces and experiences memorable. We come from a background in the VJ and visual arts scenes, having grown organically from an informal artist collective into a full creative technology agency.
Job Description
We are looking for a developer to help us build out our tools and workflows as well as help out on project builds for interactive installations!
Our work has two facets: client projects which are mainly interactive installations and performances, and developing the set of tools to produce those projects for our own use and for other studios and artists to use. We’re searching for an experienced developer who can contribute to both facets. We have a strong focus on software engineering and design, making sure what we build is extensible and maintainable, so developers that work with us will need to operate with that mindset. Most of our work is done in TouchDesigner, but we are also developing companion tools with C#, and content/previs with Unreal Engine.
The position would be primarily remote. Being able to be on site periodically at the studio in Los Angeles would be ideal but isn’t required for this position.
The position would start with a 1 month 40 hour/week contract, after which we’ll negotiate an extension for the months after that.
While we do also work with more artistic-focused creators, this specific position leans more towards the development and engineering side of things.
