Interactive Artist

As an Interactive Projection Designer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing immersive, interactive visual experiences in the style of minimalist games. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience with TouchDesigner Pro, as well as a deep understanding of creating responsive, real-time projections that interact with users in an engaging and dynamic way. You will work closely with our creative and technical teams to design, prototype, and deploy interactive visual content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop interactive projections using TouchDesigner Pro for immersive environments and minimalist-style games.

  • Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualise and execute visually compelling projections that are responsive to user input.

  • Build real-time systems that incorporate sensors, cameras, and other input devices to trigger dynamic visuals.

  • Ensure that all projections run smoothly and meet performance specifications in live environments.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain interactive projection systems, ensuring uptime and quality control.

  • Create efficient and scalable content pipelines for projections that can be easily updated or customised.

  • Integrate projections with other technologies (e.g., RFID, sensors, haptic feedback, etc.) for a fully interactive user experience.

 

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience with TouchDesigner Pro and building interactive visual systems.

  • Proficient in creating real-time generative visuals, interactive environments, and minimalist game designs.

  • Strong knowledge of interactive projection mapping and creating installations that respond to user input.

  • Familiarity with sensor integration (e.g., motion, RFID, or touch sensors) and integrating these into TouchDesigner workflows.

  • Experience in creative coding and visual scripting within TouchDesigner.

  • A good eye for minimalist design and an ability to adapt and innovate based on creative direction.

  • Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in live, high-pressure environments.
