THE3.EDU MEETUP VOL2 | HANGZHOU IN CHINA

About EVENTS
This event is centered around TouchDesigner.
Bringing together industry experts such as technical directors, media artists, and creative developers, they jointly explore the cutting-edge trends in interactive media and real-time performances. Here is our event mainly part:

    Part1: Performance Industry

Focusing on real-time visuals and live performances, this discussion explores how VJs, DJs, and musicians use TouchDesigner to create a stage experience where audio and visuals resonate. Let creativity become a "live debugging" process.

    Part2: Exhibition & Installation

From spatial narrative to interactive logic, we will share the creative implementation of exhibition hall installations in performance and display scenarios.
We will discuss how to utilize TouchDesigner to create a medium space with immersive and rhythmic qualities.

    Part3: Graduate Project

From the experiment to its implementation, this showcases how the creators integrate academic research, installation design and live performance. Through the approach of "debugging creativity", it breaks through the boundary between creativity and reality.

PRESENTERS

  WingtoKwong

THE3.STUDIO | THE3.EDU, the founders, focus on using real-time interactive technology to reshape brand narratives. They are skilled at building immersive digital experiences using TouchDesigner/Python/JavaScript, and have completed interactive experience upgrades for brands such as the National Grand Theatre, Bilibili, Nanhuashan Temple, and Jiangnan Clothing. At the same time, we established the THE3.EDU international knowledge sharing platform and conducted TouchDesigner technology sharing in Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Bali and other places, cultivating a new generation of interactive creators, and continuously building an open-source digital creative technology community.

  Jupiter

Jup33Q/Jupiter, formerly known as Gao Yingyi, graduated from the University of Warwick with a degree in Mathematical Physics in 2023. Currently, he is focusing on the field of AI combined with open-source hardware and TD integration. His interests include audio-visual integration, Unity + LKG holographic image control, etc.

   LIL-FISH

Lilfish graduated from the Goldsmiths College, majoring in Computer Art. She is a multidisciplinary artist and designer. Her works focus on the dislocation of the body, data and perception. Using media such as images, wearable devices, real-time interactive systems and performances, she transforms physiological data (such as heart rate, temperature, movement trajectory, etc.) into perceptible experiences, creating a "new organ sense" that lies between reality and fiction.

   LEON

Leon Krykhtin is a new media artist and filmmaker whose work probes the emotional, ethical, and spiritual dimensions of human-machine coexistence. At the intersection of generative technologies and philosophical inquiry, his films and installations offer deeply immersive experiences that challenge audiences to reflect on the impact of artificial intelligence on identity, consciousness, and social connection.

In an era where digital art enables unprecedented creative autonomy—empowering individuals to produce interactive generative art —his practice both embraces these tools and interrogates their deeper implications. Krykhtin’s work acknowledges the urgent need for critical dialogue around new media influence on mental health, cultural fragmentation, and digital inequality. His art acts as a contemplative space for reimagining technology not merely as innovation, but as a mirror for our values, vulnerabilities, and vision of a more inclusive, ethical future.

Beyond his artistic work, Krykhtin is actively shaping the future of ethical AI in culture and education. As Associate Professor at Zhejiang Wanli University and Visiting Professor at the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts, he guides young creatives in navigating the social impact of emerging technologies. He co-founded the LKDN AI School to empower professionals with responsible AI tools, and leads initiatives like the Shanghai AI Film Festival and communities for AI filmmaking and digital art—creating inclusive spaces where creativity, ethics, and innovation converge for social good

   CHEN XIN

Chen is a Hangzhou-based media artist and computer graphic researcher, who works with audio-visual live performance, experimental video, sound and sculpture. His works focus on the theme of machine intelligence and Animism in the context of pervasive computing theory, Recursion and contingency of autonomous systems under the influence of cybernetics. Through investigating electronic biological models such as Physarum Simulation, Cellular Automata and Particle Swarm Optimization, Chen explores the potential of computer vision in the aspect of organic and self feedback.

Chen is also the member of UFO Media Lab. In 2023, he was awarded 2022 2nd EnlightV·Futur Media Academy Award (FMAA), His work "The Moving Man" was selected for the 2023 Taipei Digital Art Festival.

   MICHEAL

Micheal, Engaged in work in the field of digital media and spatial interaction, currently serving as the team leader of ARC. Since 2019, has been focusing on the study and development of TouchDesigner, continuously exploring the integration practice of lighting control, interaction design and real-time visual systems.Long-term committed to the implementation of lighting projects, the work content covers art installation creation, software system development and image creation, etc.

Skilled in transforming creativity into operational and maintainable complete solutions, achieving a balance between artistic expression and engineering execution. In cross-border projects, not only led the overall realization of lighting and installation projects, but also continuously explored the expression techniques of photography and video editing, and has cooperated with universities multiple times, participating in the technical support and teaching exchanges of installation projects, to promote the entire process from concept to implementation from a comprehensive perspective.
