21–24 May 2026 · Copeland Gallery, Peckham, London
INTERPLAY is the end-of-year exhibition from the MSc Computing for Creative Industries cohort at UAL's Creative Computing Institute. Four days, one gallery, and a cross-section of what happens when artists, designers, and technologists work in the same room.
The show spans game design, physical computing, AI and robotics, generative systems, and interactive installation — work that sits in the gaps between code, image, sound, and material. Some pieces live on screens. Others spill into the room: projection-mapped surfaces, sensor-driven environments, sculptural controllers, things that respond to presence and breath.
TouchDesigner runs through a significant portion of the work on show. Real-time visuals, projection mapping, sensor integration, generative systems — the kind of practice the platform was built for, made by people learning to think with it.
Software Sponsor: Derivative (TouchDesigner)
We're proud to have Derivative on board as our Software Sponsor for INTERPLAY. Their support — in the form of Floating Cloud Commercial licences — has directly enabled the TouchDesigner-based work in this exhibition, from single-screen installations to multi-output projection pieces. Huge thanks to the Derivative team for backing student practice at this scale.
