This semester-long course is designed for students and professionals alike and as a weekly add-on to your studies or work. You will be a class of learners from different countries and backgrounds, united by the goal to learn a new creative coding tool to use in your career. It doesn’t matter if you are an artist, a musician, an architect, a programmer, an event technician or any other curious mind. In any case, you should have a desire for a creative process while learning a new tool.
In 12 weekly sessions you will learn all the basics of visual programming in TouchDesigner. In the individual modules you will approach the tool and its functionality by creating small playful interactive example programs through which you will explore TouchDesigners capabilities.

About the Instructor

Nima Gazestani is an interaction designer, visual artist and creative tech expert. He worked for brands and companies such as: Flos, Ferrari, Tod’s, Moleskine, SkyArte, Netflix, Toyota and many others. Developing digital physical projects for interactive exhibitions and set design solutions addressed to augment customers experiences with digital media. Previously he worked in the educational field as Course Leader of the MA in Interaction Design in Domus Academy and he is still lecturing in the most prestigious Italian and European Design Academies. His keen interest in new technologies intertwined with a well rounded knowledge on design, enables him to generate interesting and unique experience design solutions.

As with all our courses, we offer three pricing categories to accommodate the different economic value this course can have to different participants. Be fair and respect our work and the instructors by doing the right thing! Assess your situation and choose which ticket is right for you.
We know that there is a lot of money to be made if this knowledge applied in the advertising, branding, event or science sector. We also know that there is very little money to be made in small indy projects without a commercial background.
Certification
In addition to the 12 basic Modules, you will have access to individual consultations with the instructors and will – under their guidance – work on an assignment over three more modules. At the end you will deliver an interactive program, following a real life inspired brief to prove your learning progress and document you new skills.
If your work lives up to the criteria, The NODE Institute will certify that you are capable of working with TouchDesigner on an intermediate level and add you to our list of recommendation.
