These courses focus on digital tools to create interactive, real-time, audiovisual outputs, which can be applied toward works of live performance, single-channel video, music composition, and more. Students learn visual programming tools, which feature user-friendly modules chained together to control and modulate flows of video, sound and data. The majority of tutorials and assignments utilize the TouchDesigner environment, with other modules exploring sound design in Reaper and VCV Rack, and the use of mobile apps to send control data. Use of the programming language Python is also introduced, with its native use within TouchDesigner.
