LEGO EFFECT -TOUCHDESIGNER TUTORIAL [31] For Intermediate

In this tutorial we start by building a single Lego block that will serve as our base piece. First, we shape the geometry and set up instancing, thinking carefully about how one piece can multiply into many without losing its form. Once the base is ready, we bring in a camera viewport and start driving movement, modifying the Z position with a Ramp TOP for controlled variation and then with a Noise TOP for a more organic, randomized feel. We add a PBR material to give the blocks depth and realism, then switch things up by feeding a MovieFileIn TOP into the Z position, letting video or webcam footage reshape the composition in real time. From there, we layer in effects and shadows to finish the look, turning a simple instanced grid into a piece that reacts and adapts to any image or live feed you feed it.
