How I Build Interactive Installations with Depth Cameras + TouchDesigner For Beginners & Intermediate

 

 

In this TouchDesigner tutorial I'll show you how to filter point cloud data from an Orbbec Femto Mega depth camera and build 3D detection zones and spatial buttons using TouchDesigner's newest POPs operator class. Whether you're designing an interactive installation or a live performance setup, these techniques give you precise control over which parts of 3D space trigger interactions.

This is the same core approach I've used on real-world projects including the NBA All-Star Game Experience and a large-scale interactive installation for BetMGM.
