Across the region, many artists and developers are actively working with tools like TouchDesigner, Ableton Live, and other real-time systems — often independently, with limited access to structured education in Spanish, and without strong regional connections or shared learning frameworks.
Nexa Sur Lab was created to help bridge that gap.
Our goal is to develop a high-quality, accessible educational platform that supports artists and developers working across audiovisual, interactive, and real-time practices. Through courses, workshops, and collaborative initiatives, we aim to create a space where knowledge can be shared openly and consistently.
Our approach emphasizes process over tools — encouraging a deeper understanding of systems, creative logic, and real-time workflows that can extend across technologies and disciplines.
We believe that strengthening regional communities contributes directly to the global creative technology ecosystem. Supporting artists in Latin America means bringing new perspectives, methodologies, and voices into the conversation.

Nexa Sur Lab — Impulsando el crecimiento de la comunidad creativa en tiempo real en Latinoamérica
Nexa Sur Lab es una iniciativa latinoamericana enfocada en construir un ecosistema más sólido y conectado en torno a las tecnologías creativas en tiempo real.
En toda la región, muchos artistas y desarrolladores trabajan activamente con herramientas como TouchDesigner, Ableton Live y otros sistemas en tiempo real, a menudo de manera independiente, con acceso limitado a educación estructurada en español y sin conexiones regionales sólidas ni marcos de aprendizaje compartidos.
Nexa Sur Lab fue creado para ayudar a superar estas limitaciones.
Nuestro objetivo es desarrollar una plataforma educativa de alta calidad y accesible que apoye a artistas y desarrolladores que trabajan en prácticas audiovisuales, interactivas y en tiempo real. A través de cursos, talleres e iniciativas colaborativas, buscamos crear un espacio donde el conocimiento pueda compartirse de manera abierta y constante.
Nuestro enfoque pone énfasis en los procesos por sobre las herramientas, fomentando una comprensión más profunda de los sistemas, la lógica creativa y los flujos de trabajo en tiempo real que pueden extenderse a través de distintas tecnologías y disciplinas.
Creemos que fortalecer las comunidades regionales contribuye directamente al ecosistema global de la tecnología creativa. Apoyar a los artistas en América Latina significa aportar nuevas perspectivas, metodologías y voces a la conversación.
