Each event ran as a full day-and-night affair: masterclasses and presentations from community stars filled the daytime, highly valued socializing time took over in the evening. The night capped off with an “Open Beamer” jam session, lettting the creativity loose and conversations flow. These were our first official TouchDesigner events in each of these cities, and meeting the local scenes face to face was immensely rewarding.
Pulling off three events abroad isn’t easy, so we leaned on talented community members who were instrumental in turning plans into reality. London was steered by Oliver Ellmers and Moogz Giác Bảo; Dublin by Pauric Freeman and Concept Null; and Paris by Shandor Chury, Amir B. Ash, and the OVVO Studio crew. Roy Gerritsen was involved throughout keeping the branding cohesive and playful. (See full list of supporters and collaborators below). Their on-the-ground expertise and resourcefulness made everything click and reminded us once again how capable and generous the TouchDesigner community is. We couldn’t have done it without them.
The OVVO team took things one step further in Paris with "One More Touch" an afterparty at Espace Albatros, a cinema located at the site of what was a studio used by the Lumière brothers. With the support and help of INPNDNT PARIS, a community-driven initiative founded by Slava Kostyakhin, the OVVO team hosted an after-party with a stacked lineup of live A/V performances including Dasha Rush, Neurotypique, Canblaster, Milkorvaa, Yssue, The Glad Scientist, Cotton Pills and Minereed.
For more on the Paris event see Amir B. Ash's article at CDM.
We're enormously grateful to our all of our presenters, collaborators, and participants who made the trip to London, Dublin, or Paris. Reuniting with old friends, meeting new ones, geeking out over TouchDesigner, and soaking up so many fresh ideas left us feeling inspired and energized, Summer of 2024 well spent!
Below you’ll find the complete line-ups for each city. Recordings of all sessions are on the way, so stay tuned!

_Greg Hermanovic is co-founder of Derivative, where he helps design and test TouchDesigner and support the ever-inspiring TouchDesigner community.
Since as far back as he can remember, Greg wanted to make real-time visual tools for artists. He drew his first pixel on a CRT in 1974 in the Atlantic Ocean during a United Nations weather research project. He then found himself in aerospace doing realtime simulation for aircraft and the Canadarm robotic arm on the US Space Shuttle. But after discovering UNIX, music synthesizers and computer graphics as they were emerging, Greg led software development at Omnibus Computer Graphics in 1984 until it went bust in 1987, and from the ashes he co-formed Side Effects Software. At Side Effects, Greg was behind the development of PRISMS and early Houdini, where by some twist of nature, he received two Academy Awards for procedural visual effects tools in the film industry.
Then in 2000, Derivative was spun out from Side Effects with a mission to make real-time procedural tools for artists.
We’re especially interested in how people work with TouchDesigner—how they built things in TouchDesigner and its role in solving certain problems. These talks are centered on knowledge and experience-sharing.

_French visual artist Florian Rouzaud explores the intersections of art, technology, and human perception. His installations and videos examine the evolving relationship between humans and machines, highlighting the tensions between nature, civilization, and technological systems. Using raw materials, light, and immersive soundscapes, he transforms spaces into sensory environments that invite active viewer participation.
His work is driven by a dual aesthetic and technological inquiry into control, interaction, and collective emergence—blurring the boundaries between the organic and artificial.
Beyond his artistic practice, Florian leads the Creative Code Lab meetups, now hosted at La Gaîté Lyrique in Paris. These events foster exchange and learning among creatives and technologists exploring the frontier of code, art, and innovation.

Fabien Bouchard "Parse/Error"
A QUICK INTRO TO POPS 7:15PM
Touchdesigner is adding a brand new and game-changer operator family to the game: POPs! These nodes open a new approach to deal with points and particles directly on the GPU, offering a whole new world of possibilities while making some classic effects easier to achieve. These operators are currently available in the experimental release, so it's a great time to get a glimpse of their power through a few examples demonstrated by Parse/Error.

They say it takes a village... it certainly takes a community! We’d like to warmly acknowledge and thank our generous supporters and collaborators for helping make this event not only possible, but genuinely enjoyable to plan and produce.
LONDON
Organizing an event in a city we don’t live in can be a real challenge, and we’ve been incredibly fortunate to lean on the insight, resourcefulness, and generosity of Oliver Ellmers and Moogz Giác Bảo in so many ways while planning this event. This gathering is truly a reflection of their continuous support and enthusiasm.
DUBLIN
From the outset, Pauric Freeman took the lead in scouting and securing the perfect venue, and together with Concept Null, helped define and procure the technical setup and navigate the many logistical details of hosting an event from abroad. We’re deeply grateful—it simply wouldn’t have come together the way it has without them.
PARIS
We’re incredibly grateful to Shandor Chury and the team at OVVO Studio—Amir B. Ash, Cyrille Macé, and Evann Foy—for their generous support in helping bring the Paris TouchDesigner event to life. From scouting and securing the venue, to lending so much gear—including Shandor’s coffee machine—and always being available to answer questions, offer advice, and troubleshoot along the way, their kindness and support has been essential at every stage.
Infinite community spirit coupled with their generosity and resourcefulness have made a huge difference, and we truly couldn’t have pulled this together without them.
And a very big and special thank-you to Roy Gerritsen of y=f(x) for once again lending his talents to the event branding and visual assets for our entire tour. We rely heavily on his excellent design sensibilities, good humour, and uncanny ability to wring just about anything out of TouchDesigner—except beach umbrellas, there are limits!
