I hold a deep admiration for flowers. This project utilizes blob tracking, ASCII rendering, and audio responsiveness to explore the chaos inherent in nature. My goal across my work is to represent this inevitable friction: how something so simple, beautiful, and pleasing to the eye can transform into something completely chaotic, unpredictable, mesmerizing—and at times, jarring to look at. Yet, upon closer inspection, hidden layers and details begin to reveal themselves.
The title of this project is inspired by one of my favorite songs. In Spanish, words like “bloom” or “flourishing” translate to “floreciendo”, which phonetically sounds just like “Flores siendo” (Flowers being). While this wordplay might lose its literal punch in English, I found a deeply poetic quality in my native tongue that perfectly captures the essence of this piece.
