TurgorSystem (Free TOX File)

TurgorSystem
This TOX is a resemblance of "turgor"; the normal pressure of water inside a cell that pushes the plasma membrane against the cell wall, giving living plant tissue its stiffness and strength. It names the one quality that defines this system: cells that are internally pressurized and press against their neighbors until they fill the space.

Made with #GLSL and #ClaudeCode inside #touchdesigner.
Happy creating.

Parameter Guide:

Generate — What exists
Seed → Changes the arrangement. Think shuffle.
Cell Count → More or fewer cells.
Res W / Res H → Output resolution.
Reset → Starts the whole simulation over.
Note: Seed, Size Spread, and Size Scale require Reset.

Form — What the cells look like
Size Scale → Makes the cells generally bigger or smaller.
Size Spread → Makes cell sizes more similar or more varied.
Bulge → Controls how much the walls curve outward.0 = rigid/crystalline
1 = swollen/organic

Motion — How they move
Wander → How much the cells move.
Wander Scale → Whether movement is big and smooth or small and twitchy.
Wander Speed → How quickly the movement pattern changes.
Randomness → How independently each cell moves. Low = cells move together like liquid
High = cells move independently
Breathe → Makes cells slowly grow and shrink.
Breathe Rate → How fast they breathe.

Physics — How squishy they are
Time Scale → Overall simulation speed.
Stiffness → How hard/soft the cells are when pushing against each other.
Damping → How much they glide vs. slow down.
Spacing → How much space the cells want between each other.
Growth Rate → How quickly cells reach their intended size.
You generally don't need to mess with these much.

Look — How it is rendered
Treatment → Changes the visual style: Fill = solid cells
Web = interconnected struts
Relief = 3D/embossed
Outline = just the walls
Roundness → Makes corners more rounded.
Gap → Space between cells.
Frame Inset → Keeps cells away from the edges.
Edge Soften → Softens/blurs edges.
Strut Width → Thickness of Web lines.
Line Weight → Thickness of Outline lines.
Bevel Depth / Amount → Controls the 3D bevel in Relief mode.
Light Direction → Moves the light around in Relief mode.
Background / Cell → Changes the two colors.
