Ive been working on a project recently to combine 2 of my favorite creative coding tools together, Hydra and Touchdesigner. If you dont know about Hydra, it live code-able video synth and coding environment that runs directly in the browser. It is free and open-source and made for beginners and experts alike. Hydra is written in JavaScript and compiles to WebGL under the hood. The syntax is inspired by analog modular synthesis, in which chaining or patching a set of transformations together generates a visual result. Its very similar to using GLSL or Shaderpak in TouchDesigner.
Ive included most of the basic Hydra functionality with a couple extras. You're able to reference CHOPS in your Hydra code to make use of data in TouchDesigner in addition to automatic Hydra to custom parameter detecion, undo history for your hydra code and a Hydra style editor window.
This system allowed me to use hydra textures on geometry and provides a differnent type of creative coding in TouchDesigner.
Im interested to see how people use this so feel free to comment or make an Issue/pull request on github if you find any issues.
Included in the project are a some examples on how you may use the system.
