    Spelling

    Always typeset TouchDesigner as a single word with an uppercase T and D, followed by lowercase letters.

    Referential Phrases

    You may use the name "TouchDesigner" in referential phrases to indicate that your project or product supports or integrates with TouchDesigner, provided you comply with the following requirements:
    • The name "TouchDesigner" is not part of your project or product name.
    • "TouchDesigner" is used in a referential phrase such as uses, supports, compatible with, or integrates with.
    • "TouchDesigner" is less prominent than your company, project, or product name.

     

    Logo

    Overview

    The TouchDesigner logo signifies compatability or support for TouchDesigner. Use these guidelines to ensure consistent and appropriate logo usage.

    Components

    The TouchDesigner logo includes the logotype in the official brand font with a transparent background. Black and white variations are provided for design flexibility.
     

     

    General Guidelines

    • Maintain clear space around the logo.
    • Ensure high constrast between logo and background. (Follow WCAG standars.)
    • Use only approved logo files.

    For light or neutral backgrounds, use the black logo.

    Avoid Mistakes

    • Do not substitute or remove logo elements.
    • Do not use visual effects, rotations, or create alternate versions.
    • Never recreate the logo using differenet fonts or proportions.

    Program Icons

    The TouchDesigner icons and branding are proprietary to Derivative and are reserved exclusively for official use. They must not be modified, repurposed, or incorporated into any logos, designs, or graphics for third-party plugins or products.

    Plugins and Asset Branding Guidelines

    Overview

    To ensure third-party plugins and assets maintain clear distinction from official Derivative products while protecting TouchDesigner's brand integrity.
     

    Naming Requirements

    Use "YourPluginName for TouchDesigner". Do not abbreviate "TouchDesigner" into product names (e.g., "TDYourPluginName").

    Icons and Branding

    Official icons are for Derivative use only and cannot be modified or incorporated into third-party branding.

    Workshops and Events

    Logos can be used without prior written approval if the ogranzier's independent status is clear.
     

     

    Legal Rights

    Derivative reserves the right to request changes to names, logos, or branding that cause confusion, misrepresent affiliation, or violate trademarks.
     

    Closing Remarks

    In using the TouchDesigner logos we ask that you:
     
    • Use the TouchDesigner logos fairly. You are always allowed to use the above TouchDesigner logos to inform people that you are a TouchDesigner user.
    • Always follow these Brand Guidelines when using TouchDesigner logos.
    • Always spell TouchDesigner correctly as one word with a capital T and D.
    • Use TouchDesigner logos only on digital assets i.e. in a digital only capacity (for example, on your website, social media, and/or digital press kids promoting your creations.)

    A Note from Legal

    The following is not permitted:
     
    • Incorporating the TouchDesigner logo in a confusingly similar design into the name of your brand, organization, event, or trademark.
    • Using any trademarks, trade dress or logos that are confusingly similar to the TouchDesigner logo.
    • Altering, distorting or modifying the TouchDesigner logo in violation of our Brand Guidelines, including adding other terms to TouchDesigner logo to create new words.
    • Using the TouchDesigner logo in a manner that is inconsistent with the terms laid out in this guideline.
    • Using the TouchDesigner logo in a manner that, in Derivative’s sole opinion, impairs TouchDesigner logo, and/or is misleading, unfair, defamatory, infringing, libelous, disparaging, tarnishing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable to Derivative.
    • Filing a trademark, copyright, or patent that contains TouchDesigner logo or Derivative brand assets.
    • Licensing or attempting to license the TouchDesigner logos to others in any way.
    • Using the TouchDesigner logos on merchandise, unless we agree in writing in advance in each instance to any such use.
