System Requirements
System requirements for TouchDesigner and TouchPlayer.
Basic Requirementsedit
Older than hereafter specified configurations might work but some features will not be available.
Operating Systemedit
- Microsoft Windows 10 / Windows 11
- Apple macOS 10.15 and up (See also macOS)
Graphics Cardsedit
A minimum of 4GB GPU memory and use of the most recent Nvidia drivers, AMD drivers or Intel drivers is recommended. TouchDesigner requires a GPU and drivers that support Vulkan 1.1.
Nvidia GPUs
- Nvidia GeForce 800 Series Card or better.
- Nvidia Quadro K Series Card or better.
- Requires Driver 472.47 or newer.
AMD GPUs
- AMD HD 7000 Series Card or better.
- AMD W or V Series Card or better.
Intel GPUs NOTE: Not all features are supported on integrated video chipsets and there is a lower expectation on overall performance.
- Intel 500 and newer GPUs (not the 5000, 6000 series). You can look for your GPU here.
Apple GPUs
- Mac Pro / iMac / Mac Mini / MacBook Pro / MacBook Air 2015+
- Currently we are only getting consistent results on machines that are new enough to be updated to macOS 12+. Older machines that have Metal support may work, but so far we are seeing crashes on the older 2013 and previous Macs that are not able to update to macOS 12+.

- A three-button mouse with scroll-wheel is required.

- On Windows Nvidia GPU only, or macOS for codecs the hardware supports
