ST2110

ST2110 is an open standard to distribute uncompressed video, audio and ancillary data over network cabling. More details about it can be found on these pages: https://www.smpte.org/standards/st2110
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMPTE_2110

TouchDesigner currently supports ST2110 devices of Blackmagic Design and AJA.

Since the data is uncompressed, the bandwidth requirements for the video is very high. 4096x2160@60Hz video requires 12Gb/s of bandwidth, so it requires a 25Gb network port (since the next step down is 10Gb/s). The networking equipment required for ST2110 (switches in particular) tends to be quite expensive as well.

ST2110 is supported in TouchDesigner via the ST2110 Device CHOP, which is used to configure the NIC. Input and output is done via the ST2110 In TOP and ST2110 Out TOP. These nodes require a Pro license of TouchDesigner or TouchPlayer.
