Texture Operators, also known as TOPs, are image operators (movies and stills) that provide real-time, GPU-based compositing and image manipulation. All calculations in TOPs are performed on the system's GPU. The TOPs compositing engine can be used for preparing textures, compositing streams of QT movies, building control panel elements, and any other image task you might have.
