FBX importing and texture co-ordinates

Hi guys

i’m using Maya 8.5 to make some models and export them to Touch via FBX, and the texture co-ords don’t seem to come across
has anyone else tried? found the trick?

If you post (or email me) the FBX file I’ll take a look and fix it.
The FBX importer is in it’s infancy and really the only thing stopping it’s progress is a lack of sample FBX files. So the more you want to send me the better.

i changed what i was doing with the exporting and got something to come across, but they’re not the UV’s i saw in maya
it should be a nice smooth GI backed shell texture. in touch it’s a bit gnarly
just a note .fbx isn’t allowed to be posted here - perhaps we could add that?

also handy hint for anyone using Maya and paintFX. if you convert paintFX to mesh and try to export as FBX, the UV set won’t come across, you need to make a new UV set, and copy map1 over to it
then it works fine (in maya)

Hey, I’ve fixed the texture importing now. I’ll be in any build after 597.
