Generation of different materials with different textures

Hello,

I begin my first project in touch designer and I have some questions.
I’m sending OSC information to TouchDesigner and collecting data through the CHOP Event to generate audiovisual objects, which can be several different instances of SOPs with different materials (images, video, shaders).

Do I need to have a piece of geometry for each kind of SOP instances ?

Since instance texturing is not supported on this operating system (Mac), I would need texture 3D (set to 2D array) to apply a texture (image) on different instances of SOPs ?

How is it possible to load in texture 3D, thousands of images organized in a sound folder collection (70 folders containing different kinds of images) ?
