Creating a 3D set.

Hello everyone,

Just wondering, which would be the easiest way to design a set / scenario in touchdesigner? Not looking for anything fancy, just a simple set as a simple room that I can navigate through.
At first sight it looks way complicated to lay out the elements across the space.

Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance,
Pedro.

You need to grasp the render network, and you need to be aware that GEO works on the GPU where SOP works on the CPU, GEO will be your route for visualizations. SOPs will be used when you want to manipulate the data in an easily convertible form for output/file conversion etc.

First go to Op Snippets and check out

COMPS:Camera,Light,Geo,Camera Blend

TOPS: Render,RenderPass,Depth,Cubemap

In your Pallette have a look at:

Techniques: sweetSpotpreviz, kinectPointcloud (if you own a kinect)

Tools sweetSpot, ArcBall Camera, ArcBall Geometry

And there are a lot of examples on the Forum and internet at large.

Get tinkering!

Thank you bwanajh ,

Will try see how it works! :sunglasses:
