intersection between merged sops

Hi,

In this exemple, I have 2 rotating boxes plugged into a merge, then into a wireframe. I thought the merge would create a new shape out of its inputs, but the wireframe shows they still are 2 independant cubes put on top of each other.

What I would like is the wireframe to also contain the edges highlighted in green in the picture (missing under the orange dashes).

I hope (and have no doubt) there are many ways to achieve this. Thanks for reading!

Take a look at the boolean SOP set to Intersect. I think that is close to what you’re after.

That works for me, Thank you very much!

And by the way, thank you very much for all the generous online resources!! Your work makes a huge difference in the accessibility of Touch.

Ohhh! Thank you. It’s my hope that some clear learning materials make it easier to dig into programming and procedural media making. There’s a great example of SOP manipulation in this thread that’s also worth looking over:

Lots of cool SOP techniques there - and some fly rendering.
