dark geometry node

hi,
my geometry node is pretty dark. seems the light comes from down left.
even when booted and started the touchdesigner with default new projekt there is quite no light in the geometry node ?
any idea ?

This is a bug we’ve seen with some MacBooks, we have not been able to recreate it yet so we haven’t been able to fix it.

Are you running TouchDesigner on a Mac? Would you mind sharing your hardware configuration and which build of TouchDesigner you’re using?

Another user from Japan reporting dark geometry nodes.

The usage environment is as follows:

MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2011)
Processor: 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
OS: Mac OS 10.13.3 High Sierra

TouchDesigner: 099 64bit-build 2017.15400

I also has exactly same situation.
Please advise me how can I fix this.

This is a known issue for many Macs with Intel GPU. Unfortunately there is no solution for 3D Viewers in node viewers.

But for Render TOP and final rendering you can workaround it by changing the Light COMP changing the parameter Polygon Front Faces = Back Lit.
