Little fish tank thing I made.
not yet finished, but thought i’d stick it up as a WIP. Has a position tracking thing that we were discussing in beginners, has fog, a modified underwater thing, (thanks rod! and Joss) some crazy Object chop action (if anyone has a more elegant solutionw ould love to hear about it)

Open the SAM_Fish panel
LMB drag and the fish get interested in you, if you right click, they’ll get scared adn run away
if you LMB drag off the panel, they’ll lose interest and swim off.

I am toying with the idea of using your fish scene as part of a demo in emerging technologies.

I’m imagining a tabletop with a grid of fiducial markers (a bit like in the picture above) so that, when seen from a camera, the fish are swimming around above the tabletop and the ground, seaweed etc is anchored to the tabletop.

I made a procedural stingray from an old houdini tutorial and I’ve been playing around with movies of water caustics to use as projection maps on the lights in the scene to get an extra underwater vibe.

most of the demos I’ll do to show off the AR authoring potential of Touch will be interactive music stuff, but an underwater thing would rock I think, especially with your fish following a marker on the end of a stick then occasionally swimming away in fright if it moves suddenly.

I LOVE the seaweed!

I also am thinking of borrowing Jarret’s ‘structure’ thing to sit on the bottom of the sea as well. :slight_smile:
