"Paintbrush" example using feedback

Postby landonth » Mon Apr 17, 2017 7:27 pm

Posting this technique requested by @vaporstack in the #how_do_i slack channel.

Simple use of a feedback TOP as a paint or photoshop style "brush" on a canvas with an over blend.

left click to "paint"
right click to clear "canvas"

Made with TouchDesigner 099 2017.4580 but could be done just as well in 088, just may have to recreate the ramp TOP to get the pretty colours.

Here's another approach to this that works more like a traditional drawing program.

Using the same technique with circles and feedback, but also drawing lines in between the current and previous position so you get a continuous stroke with rounded caps.

This one uses middle click to clear the canvas

You might find some useful tricks in the gestureCapture Palette Component. You can find it under "Techniques"
