[ADDED!!] ableton link integration

If TD supported the Ableton Link protocol, it could more easily synchronize with a bunch of other systems for multi-person performances.
The library is open source c++: https://github.com/Ableton/link
It would be similar to the Ableton Sync example, but would work with all the other software that supports the protocol.
I’m also making a similar request on the Resolume forum. The two systems work really well together via Spout/Syphon, but they aren’t synchronized.

 • one for Ableton Link CHOP

Use the OSC objects. Send that to max 4 live. Up and going in a hour or two. BPM link. Timeline position sync. Though not having to do all the above would be kinda awesome.

Yes. There are ways of doing these things, but the ease of integration would be useful and might make TD a more approachable tool for collaborative performance.

Of any help to you?
Looks like a pretty robust platform . . . .

The Ableton TD Sync system serves a different purpose than Link. It communicates to a single running instance of Live and handles scene cueing, MIDI, OSC, and other kinds of automation.
Link is a protocol implemented by a number of applications that lets you set up a local network of one or more devices which synchronize their tempos and aligns timeline positions to quantized points where any member of the network can propose a new tempo and have the others converge on it.

This would be super useful for faster spin up on certain types of projects. +1

VDMX and CoGe now support it:

It’s now available!!
Ableton Link CHOP

That’s so cool!!!
This is going to simplify so much of the stuff I am working on
