External File Auto-Reload

Postby raganmd » Tue Jun 05, 2018 6:49 pm

My life is external files these days.

We have an in house solution for managing external file changes that essentially watches to see if a file's timestamp has been updated - if it has, that external file is pulse reloaded. I love that helper script, but it would be lovely if there was a preferences flag to do just that. If a file is loaded from an external source, and touch is not in perform mode, and that file changes... pulse reload.

+1

We do this via a DAT Execute docked to the Text DAT - would love it to be built-in as Matthew is saying :P
