Im guess this bug known but bump it up. Despite the gpu memory shows im still having plenty of free space i`m gets error 9.

There is away to cache into system ram instead of into gpu memory or hd ?

Thats weird, all the tests we did insinuated this was to do with too much gpu usage, is it possibly because your kinect TOP is using a large amount of memory? Try it at 8bit instead of 32 and see if that stops it, if so then this issue is more of a big deal than first thought. :frowning:

Its also happens with 8,16bit images its just get stuck .

My system is :
GT70 DOMINATORPRO-890

Intel Core i7-4810MQ (2.7 GHz, 6 MB Cache)
12 GB DDR3L SDRAM
Samsung 850 Pro
1 TB 7200 rpm Hard Drive
NVIDIA Geforce GTX880M with 8GB GDDR5 VRAM ( driver 344.65)
Windows 8.1 pro 64bit

Update:same problem with gtx drivers 344.75
Update:same problem with GTX660TI

Hey Barak,
Can you try downloading this build:
derivative.ca/temp/TouchDes … 64-Bit.exe

and set the windows environment variable TOUCH_DISABLE_BINDLESS_TEXTURE = 1

And see if you can reproduce the issue?

Malcolm

After installing the older build, changed add the windows variable and restart the pc.

Its solved the error number 9 and crash issue.

but take a look on the screen shouts.
1.in case of the GTX880M around 5GB gpu mem usage+ there is ~3x reduce in fps.
2.texture3d limited to 2GB. if i`m not wrong .
3.there is weird presentation of the gpu memory with negative number.

dropbox.com/sh/tayaa27zqj86 … FtM0a?dl=0
when its show 2GB gpu mem its gtx 660ti,8GB for GTX880M.

Barak.

The negative GPU memory reporting has been fixed in the 30000 series, which is why you see it in the 25000 series.
